Made a reservation for a large dinner party, but when we arrived, we were informed that no record of our reservation existed. The main chef had gone home (because he obviously had not been informed) and only the apprentice was working. The afternoon band was supposed to stop playing before we arrived, but they continued at an ear-piercing level of decibels for another hour in the dining room, meaning that we couldn't be seated - nor could we talk. The guy who was in charge offered us no apology for them losing our reservation and literally threw up his hands and told us he couldn't help. We eventually got fed, but by the time our dinner arrived, we'd had enough. Won't be back.**** A couple of points I must clarify after receiving the owner's response. (1) I most definitely have the correct pub. You're in Russell Street, across the road from Rowes Furniture. (2) The band was absolutely playing at 5.30pm on the Sunday afternoon when we arrived. (3) The reservation was for Sunday at 6pm prior to Christmas and the band continued well past that time. (4) When we were eventually seated, we were the only folks in the dining room.

Absolutely shattered 200 bucks for 1 night in a dorm room the windows had cardboard instead of glass the floors were chat grass n stuff everywhere. The beds were made but not washed. There was crusty stains on the blankets. They refused to refund me. I sent my kids back to there mum and went and stayed at bus terminal. At least it was clean. I strongly urge anyone going to Toowoomba to avoid The national hotel as I'm sure it actually does have the plague. I picked the keys up and went and spent the afternoon with my kids. I was told over the phone it was the last room but it was nice. That's why I paid 30 dollars more then advertised. I returned at dinner time went up to the room opened the door and come straight down to the manager. I booked a room at a motel not a chatty Woodridge pub
Stayed 2 nights at $140 per night and will not stay again. They did state that they were renovating bathroom however didn't say the plumbers would start at 7:30 am and would be right next door. The shower DID NOT have any hot water at all and it is filthy with mould.. When informed the manager on duty about no hot water he didn't appear to care and said no one else had mentioned it but he would check it out and let me know. Still waiting . Wish I had read reviews before staying as I would have gone elsewhere. Window in room couldn't be opened and fan had no knob to turn on. PLUS SIDE, The meal was delicious but I would find elsewhere in Toowoomba to stay.
