Always more expensive than others, I only go there because the agent who does out travel is fantastic.
My daughter and I went into the Flight Centre inside Toowoomba Grand Central.We wanted to upgrade her accommodation in Peru.The first thing we were met with was a large female eating a large sticky bun. She didn't have a name tag on. Then a much younger male and female.No one greeted us it was quite uncomfortable.So I jokingly said "we'll sit down while you finish your bun" and we sat down.The three of them just stared at us.She rudely said with her mouthful of bun to the other 2 "do one of you want to help them". The young man didn't ask us to approach the desk and take a seat but instead stared at us across the room. My daughter then stood up and approached them and told them what she needed.The larger women still with her mouth full of bun rudely said "because you booked through student flight centre you have to deal with them. Don't you have the consultants email". When my daughter replied no she responded with "I make sure to tell people my emails on the front, they usually forget" implying that she "forgot". They didn't want to help her. I said you are affiliated with student flight centre, why can't you help her. Eventually the young Male begrudgingly telephoned the student flight centre in Brisbane who did the initial booking and spoke to the same consultant we did. What I found disgusting on top of the bun and talking with a full mouth and the rudeness and lack of service most of all was the fact that my daughter felt the need to apologize which she did a few times for being there. But that was exactly how they made us feel.So even though initially the 3 of them tried not to serve us at all and send us back to Brisbane, the large woman with no name tag, kept interjecting loudly and rudely with her mouth full of sticky bun.If as they said, we could only deal with the same consultant that booked the trip in Brisbane, what if she was sick or on holiday or no longer worked there... it was an appalling excuse to not have to help us.
Staff is fantastic, I booked my holidays for December and I can not wait.
